Nudge 1: Create a schedule and negotiate workload
Keeping to a regular schedule can help. Fixed hours allow to establish a routine and can be crucial for maintaining a healthy life balance.
What to do if you take care of children
A realistic schedule takes into account current time resources and family responsibilities, e.g. when public childcare is not available due to the pandemic. Communicate and negotiate the schedule with your team (your leadership) and clarify resources and workload expectations. As a manager, you proactively put the topic on the agenda and negotiate a realistic solution with your employees and teams – incidentally also a question of agile adaptation due to changed framework conditions.
