On April 1, 2022, the expert commission of the State Ministry of Justice, for Democracy, Europe and Gender Equality , chaired by State Minister Katja Meier , met in Dresden and discussed the catalog of measures she had developed with cross-party representatives.
The Saxon coalition agreement for 2019 to 2024 formulates the goal of equal representation of women and men in parliaments and councils at state and local level. The specific experiences, interests and concerns of women can only be adequately taken into account in the context of political decisions if enough women sit at the table and can make their voices heard.
