Age diversity – appreciative handling of age in everyday work and management

 

In this lecture, Dr. Claudia Neusüß from compassorange gave an impulse on the diversity dimension of age in everyday work and management. This includes the following questions.

  • What special potentials, what specific needs, if any, does age bring? What opportunities does age diversity offer for organizations and in intergenerational cooperation?
  • What challenges, supportive framework conditions and (indirect) risks of discrimination are evident in the context of age in organizations?
  • What contributes to the appreciation and devaluation of certain ages/phases of life? And how does it interact with other dimensions of diversity such as gender, physical and mental abilities or years of service?
  • What are the starting points for a sensitive and appreciative handling of questions of old age?
